There have been a slew of game developers lining up their offerings ever since Apple released the iPhone’s SDK. Though the touch sensitive screen is a nice way to play games, it is nowhere as responsive as the good ol’ joypads that conventional game controllers use. CraigX who has been credited with the development of the Pandora is now developing a full fledged physical game controller called the iControlpad for the iPhone. That definitely is some very sweet news for the ears of all iPhone gaming buffs. Predictably the iControlpad will be powered by the iPhone’s dock connector. That will make it ultra easy to use. Meanwhile, the iControlpad is up and running with current iPhone emulators and CraigX is even shipping out units to other developers. iPod Touch users too needn’t worry as the iControlpad will work on the iPod Touch as well. With the impending 3G iPhone to have a faster processor, this controller could just be the spark to start an iPhone gaming revolution.
