Chinese have the cellphone user base of 450 million and every year nearly 100 million replace there sets and the replaced sets and chargers are then dumped.
The Chinese Ministry of Information Industry has come up with an idea of having a standardized charger for all cellphones so that this waste can be reduced.
At present the phone come bundled with chargers but by having one standard charger you will not require a new charger with every new phone.
Ministry estimates that the industry will be able to save 2.4 billion Yuan or $300 million each year buy this standardization process.
