RIM is trying hard to boost their sales with release after release. A big moment was when Blackberry 7 OS was awarded as the most secure OS. Apart from this, there has been no good news for them. However, RIM released Blackberry Curve 9220 today at a special event in New Delhi. This event featured actress Katrina Kaif.
BlackBerry Curve 9220 is based on Blackberry 7.1 OS and is priced as Rs 10,990. RIM proclaims that this phone has the best battery life out of all Blackberry phones. It has a QWERTY keypad along with a 2 megapixel camera. The biggest turn off is “No 3G support’; while a lot of other Android based smartphones offer 3G for the same price. The screen supports maximum resolution of 320×240 pixels.
Camera is integrated with the Blackberry messenger so that you can create your own avatar. This phone makes an exception by including an FM radio, which was earlier absent. This phone is made specifically for Indian market and hence, first released in India. Later this phone would be available in other markets as well. BlackBerry Curve 9220 will be up for grabs after 19th April. You can choose your pick out of black, teal blue, fuchsia pink and pure white.
