Vertu Concept phone is a void inside

vertu void N5r7d 48Designer: Norihiko Inoue

While most concept phone designers are more concerned about the outer looks and the integrated features, Norihiko Inoue has his own two cents. He thinks that most of the mobile phones in the near future will have the electric components attached to the outer body of a phone while the interiors will remain empty. I don’t appreciate this novel idea, but then, you might like it. His Vertu Void concept phone has buttons and screen placed on thin strips of shiny plastic. The make is simply a shell with nothing inside. Vertu phones speak luxury, but this concept seems to speak nothing at all…at least for now. Maybe, it will be different when Vertu puts some precious stones onto it.

What’s innovative? Electric components attached to the outer body of a phone, with empty space inside.

About the Designer: Born in 1997 in Japan, Norihiko Inoue lives and works in London. He has worked with many design houses and his key skills include brainstorming, CAD, sketching, and model making.
