Target Consumer: People who love music and animation.

Should they buy it? Yes.

Why? The Sony Ericsson W707 Alicia as a Walkman phone might be quite similar to the high-end W980 but what makes it attractive besides its glossy chic look are its two external displays besides the main internal screen – one square one and another round one that is capable of displaying animations and weather related information besides acting as a music controller. It will also support TrackID and features both music and video playback.

Technical Specifications: HSDPA connectivity, dual external displays, 3.15-megapixel camera with autofocus and video recording, superb web browsing and email capabilities.

Pricing & Availability: There is no information on the price of the device.

What others are saying?
Chris Ziegler of Engadget mobile, though, is not quite enthusiastic about this walkman phone. According to Chris, this perhaps is not the best phone to take into an ‘ad hoc texting competition’.

In the Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog, m-one writes in his post that with emphasis to the animation that appear on the outer and hidden displays this is another phone that can be seen as an emotional series phone.

Even Unwired View’s David Gonzales doesn’t appear gung-ho over the product. David finds theW707 Alicia keypad something straight out of the Razr.

Despite some negative criticisms, I don’t think the Alicia will be a bad choice.
