Sony Ericsson Aino goes on sale as an unlocked phone in the US

Sony Ericsson Aino that cleared the FCC tests in September was supposedly an AT&T baby but to everyone’s surprise, the Aino has been released as an unlocked phone in the US. AT&T will have surely denied the Aino but the fact that it supports GSM 850/1900 and WCDMA 850/1900 bands means that the AT&T subscribers can still use it through the 3G network. The Aino which has been categorized as a multimedia feature phone comes with a 3-inch (240 by 432) touchscreen which boasts of 16 million colors. The camera on the rear is an 8MP variant assisted with an LED flash and it can record VGA quality videos at 30fps. Aino comes with a slide-out alphanumeric keyboard and what is more is that it can be used as a remote controller for the PS3 gaming console supporting Remote Play, Media Home, and Media Go features. It is also compatible with tri-band HSPA and Wi-Fi and it offers Google Maps compatibility through GPS.
