Recently launched Micromax A50 flaunts Siri like voice assistant, AISHA

Apple iPhone 4S’ stunning Siri intelligent voice recognition app has got a rival in India. Indian handset maker Micromax has launched a Siri-like feature called the AISHA (Artificial Intelligence Speech Handset Assistant) on one of its latest handsets, the A50 Superphone Ninja. The feature, according to Micromax, can simply translate words to action. For example, AISHA will update you with the weather status if you just ask it “what is the weather in Delhi?”

To run AISHA, the phone requires internet connection and a Google account. Signing into the Google account, you can open the AISHA app and start making voice commands. Besides being a mere voice recognition tool, AISHA app can be used to begin web search, know phone status, get stock market ticks, find location, translate languages and much more. Moreover, like Siri, users can rely on AISHA to update their social media profiles like Facebook, Twitter and others.

The new Micromax phone comes with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread and it is powered by 650MHz processor. The A50 moderate smartphone sports a small 3.1-inch multitouch capacitive display with dual SIM option, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPRS. It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera and has Gravity Sensor and microSD slot expandable up to 32GB.

Thanks to Gingerbread, users can find a variety of apps on Google Play for the phone. Micromax is to sell the A50 Superphone Ninja for a price of Rs. 4,999. The small price of the device will certainly reach the intelligent voice recognition feature to people, who can only spend less on a phone. To get an iPhone 4S with Siri will be out of their dreams, anyway.
