Oh my iPhone, why ain’t thou just perfect?

Before the most ever hyped consumer electronic device the iPhone was a reality with the anoraks – i.e. prior to the marvel was released, I had accustomed you to certain constraints that this ‘perked up iPod’ would confront if the two Apple creations were compared. So playing further with my human instinct (citing failures over success) – I had a critic eye over the issues that nerds faced with their iPhone post its official accessibility.

If you already own one – or are up for it soon, here I have assembled a few limitations that the one’s using the iPhone have come up with, trust me it’ll be a quick read and definitely play a guide to make your hefty purchase a worthwhile venture.

Foremost reported was the iPhone activation trouble; people reported of AT&T activation delays – an iPhone took about 5-8 minutes to activate, for many it even took days. However, AT&T claimed the delays to be by the server overcharge with numerous customers activating at the same time over the weekend, if it is so then the problem can be sorted out naturally – coz further the patrons will be much less compared to the preceding weekend.

Next up is the user replaceable battery; for once, here the iPhone follows the similar iPod guidelines set by Apple – unlike the conventional handsets rather like the iPod – iPhone comes with a built in battery- and is backed with minimum of 300-400 charges. After the iPhone’s one-year warranty, the regulars will have to pay to get the battery replaced – they will have to pay $86 odd and ship their iPhone to Apple to have their iPhone batteries replaced. Free batteries for life could be a solution but with the Apple norms, it doesn’t seem happening.

Slow data usage; a sad outbreak from the iPhone users is network used by their latest possession – the iPhone uses the AT&T’s slow network, EDGE – which is a mere 2.5G, unlike the faster third-generation (3G) HSDPA technology. The existing will only be the 2.5G but the next lot of the iPhone will probably be a 3G model.

Memory space; the iPhone’s limited 4GB to max 8GB space is perhaps too less – there are many phones available in the market that already support that space, so iPhone is just seen catching up not breaking new ground. However, Apple is expected to enhance the memory space in the coming time but like the iPod, there will be no provision for the MicroSD slots.

iTunes; this is another glitch to ponder upon – yes the iPhone plays iTunes but what! Only through headphones, no one would prefer his music locked up in two ears, rather would wanna rattle those goofs next door. Therefore, I think this is a major drawback.

Connectivity; this is another issue that has been brought up by the users – though the iPhone supports a Bluetooth and WiFi yet, it cannot be synchronized with a computer, however, compatibility with Bluetooth is a basic function provided by the phones of late.

Touch screen; some users are apprehensive about the touch feature of the screen – the world’s best touch screen technology may have been employed still, being crafted out of plastic its prone to scratches. Though, soon iPhone will come with a glass screen that’ll do away with the corns of the plastic screen – but until then this remains one of the weakest thing in an iPhone.
