Lava launches Intel Medfield based XOLO X900 smartphone in India, finally!

Long awaited Intel powered phone, Lava XOLO X900 has been released in India. It’s the first phone powered by a 1.6 GHz, Intel Atom processor. It also has a 400MHz Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) for smooth graphics in gaming. XOLO 900 has Android v2.3 as OS and is upgradable to latest Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

It has a very fast, 8 megapixel camera, which can click as much as 10 pictures in one second in Burst Mode. The camera is capable of capturing videos in 1080p HD. It also has a secondary camera to support video calling. The 4.03 inch LCD touchscreen makes navigation and multimedia viewing very easy. Atom processor handles multitasking efficiently with the help of Hyper Threading Technology.The HDMI port on the phone lets you route videos to a bigger screen. XOLO X900 also has the latest connectivity feature, NFC.

Lava XOLO X900 proclaims a good battery along with efficient battery management and provides talk time of 8 hours, a music playback of 45 hours and 5 hours of internet browsing over 3G. This phone would will go on sale for customers on Monday, 23rd April. It would be available through Croma stores while online purchases can be made from Xolo.in for a price of Rs. 22,000. This phone would be seen at retail stores by May.
