Karbonn mobiles has announced to launch two dual SIM phones and a 7.1 inch Tablet. A7 and A9 are the two smartphones lined up for release. Both of these phones work on Android v2.3.6 Ginger Bread and a 1 GHz processor. A7 and A9 are expected to be sold between Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 7,900. The main difference between these two dual SIM smartphones is the screen size. A7 would have a 2.8 inch screen while 9 will sport a 3.8 inch screen.
These phones would face close competition from, recently launched Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos and Galaxy Y Duos. Both these phones are Dual SIM smartphones, running on Android v2.3.6. These phones run on an 832 MHz processor.
If we talk about the tablet, it is powered by Cortex A8 1.2 GHz processor. This tablet would have a 7.1 inch capacitive touchscreen. This tablet would run on Android v 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. A 3700 mAh battery provides power backup. Other feature of this tablet includes microSD slot and 2.0 megapixel front facing camera. This tablet is expected to sell under Rs. 10,000.
