Given the unprecedented craze for Apple’s iPhone, it won’t be an overstatement to call this piece of gadgetry as an art work. What? You have you’ve already heard that? Anyways, these artists at the iPhone Case Exhibition 2010 that kicked off last week in Yokohama actually proved that iPhone is such a nice canvas to work on. The art work or the cases created by more than 100 people included artists, designers, architects and even a pastry chef and a radio DJ. Obviously, these one-off creations are not available at stores, but some of them are up for sale with prices ranging from $35 to $745. Given the fact that Japan’s cell phone technology is years ahead in innovation however, divergent from their mainland cousins, this fair should somehow give Japan’s cellphone users a sneak peak at gadgetry overseas.
