The famed Google Earth application has now been made available to iPhone and iPod Touch. The new application takes advantage of the iPhone/iPod Touch’s accelerometer, and the iPhone’s GPS system. With the Google earth application, iPhone users will be able to browse the world in 3D, simply by tilting the iPhone or the iPod touch. You can use your fingers to zoom in or rotate the virtual maps on your iPhone. Google Earth for the iPhone, touts 8 million panoramic photos. Users can also read Wikipedia articles on different locations. The new application is available from the Apple AppStore for free. You can download it straight to you iPhone 2G or iPhone 3G.
