Bing Translator app for Windows Phone now touts offline features

Windows phones haven’t made their impact on the market yet, but they have the potential to do so. Windows has updated Bing Translator app into a free app now. This app lets you translate text into desired language. So if you want to read out a menu card in Chinese Restaurant, you just click a picture. The app then generates translated version just above the text. You can understand how this would make things easier for you. This app would be a great utility for travelers.

You can also speak in to the microphone and the app would speak the translation in you desired language. If that is not enough, it would also work without data connectivity. You can download a language pack and install it for offline use. Bing translator supports languages like English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Chinese.
