Are you a proud possessor of the iPhone 3G? Then kindly pay heed to the important warning issued by Apple regarding the use of the Apple Ultracompact USB Power Adapter that comes packed with the iPhone 3G. Apple has received complains that its power adapter’s metal prong might suddenly break off creating risks of being electrocuted.

IPhone 3G users in USA, Japan, Canada, Mexico and some Latin American countries have been urged by Apple to stop immediately using the power adapter. While Apple would replace the defective power adapter with a new one, iPhone users could charge their iPhone 3G by connecting it to their computer with the USB cable or with a standard Apple USB Power Adapter with fold up prongs or with a car charger.

What others are saying?

CrunchGear’s Peter Ha writes

…the little USB power adapter that came with our iP3G…s defective, like, the prongs will break off in the electrical socket, which will then shock the living life out of you.

According to Casey Chan of the iPhone blogs

But with the iPhone 3G it seemed like all the adorable qualities that made Apple, Apple, got lost and got worse.
