An iPhone Explodes in Belgium, Apple calls it an Isolated Incident

A 15-year old Belgian boy was about to make a call from his iPhone but before his call got through, the iPhone exploded. Thankfully, no serious damage was done to the boy who has been promised a new iPhone from Apple but he was left with a headache that lasted a couple of days. As per Apple, this is an isolated incident and it no way represents a widespread problem-which is a strange answer because even a single unit exploding means there was a manufacturing defect somewhere and phones of this high quality are not meant to explode. While Apple is busy investigating the case, the French DGCCRF is investigating this incident on a personal level-maybe to ensure that Apple does not come up with an unsubstantial answer, but they do describe Apple as ‘very cooperative’. There is still no clarification from Apple on an incident where a boy’s eye got hurt when his girlfriend’s iPhone exploded. And they say it is an ‘isolated incident’…
