Nokia is all set to introduce its N-Gage platform on N81 and N81 8GB devices. The users of these smartphones will be accessing to host of popular games from leading publishers on their handheld devices. The question arises here; will Nokia N81 popularize N-Gage gaming platform, which Nokia N60 devices failed four years ago?
Nokia N81 seems be the perfect device for gamers due to its elegant features. First of all, there are dedicated game keys to control the games. The device is designed in such way that it can turn into a gaming directional pad when operated horizontally. It enables user-friendly interface with several games.
The other features include 8GB of internal storage without memory card slot, a 2.4-inch QVGA display with 16 million color support, WiFi connectivity, A2DP support, video and VoIP calls, a two megapixel camera. It measures a length of 102 mm, width 50mm and 17.9 thicknesses. The weight of the device is just 140 gram.
Nokia failed to lure the customers with its flagship gaming concept back in 2003 when the platform was made available over Nokia N60 devices, the major being lack of dedicated key buttons.
