Sony Ericsson has had us annoyed in the recent past with some self motivated image leaks of the XPERIA X3 (earlier called the Rachel). There was a video that staged the UI functioning and then a few more images but we now finally have the full specifications, thanks to the online retailer Expansys which lists the smartphone as SEMXP3_BLK_UK. It is the first Android based Smartphone for SE but that is not just the only impressive factor. What we also loved is a stunning camera that will make you chuck your mini digital camera forever. It is an 8MP option with 8X digital zoom. What’s more are a number of features including, LED flash, image stabilization, face detection and smile shutter. You also get the opportunity to record VGA quality 30fps videos.
The XPERIA X3 has a 4-inch display with 800×400 resolution count and the panel is capacitive presumably. There is also a host of regular features including support for SMS, MMS, POP, IMAP and Exchange email. There is a slot for a microSDHC card with a min-USB port and a 3.5mm headphone socket. The connectivity buffs would feel pleased to know that there are a plethora of options ranging from dual-band 900/2100MHz HSDPA 10Mbps to HSUPA at 2Mbps. Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and GPS abilities also comes as standard.
