RIM’s BlackBerry in its latest Flip Experience avatar is not compromising on any of its earlier attributes. It has only upgraded them. Receiving calls remain much the same. Additional features like caller id picture, caller name etc. are here to stay. Messaging achieves new heights with BlackBerry Flip Experience. Email, IM, SMS, MMS are, as expected, are available at your fingertips. When you receive a message, all you need to do to view it would be to open the flap. To keep you from wasting time over unsolicited or undesirable messages, the LCD screen at the outside provide the sender’s name and a glimpse of the message (subject to enabling).
Viewing missed call alerts is as convenient as ever. You wouldn’t require to open the flap to view them. Moreover, with the flap closed, you can view key information regarding your music. The Volume keys double as keys to toggle between tracks. The Mute key can be used to Play or Pause a track. Word has it that the BlackBerry would come with OS version 5.0, though it hasn’t yet been confirmed by RIM. Upgrading from 4.6 to 5.0 wouldn’t be too difficult.
