It hasn’t even been a week that we came across the first spy shots of the Sony Ericsson Jalou and now comes a different version of the story. Sony Ericsson has made public a phone dubbed Jalou but, that isn’t the one we thought it would be, indeed, the Bao Concept has been mass produced as the Jalou. The clamshell has been offered in two variants, the more interesting one of the two being a limited edition Dolce&Gabbana version. It clearly targets the niche market putting fashion before substance and accordingly you will find some limitations when talking about specs. It is clearly visible that the phone comes across as more of a commodity than a phone with its diamond shape design and a 2-inch display.
The camera is still more capable than what we expected with a 3.2MP lens with Geotagging and video recording. Also, there is a mirror, an FM Tuner, Bluetooth 2.0, multimedia player, step counter and an antediluvian web browser. On the connectivity front you get quad-band GSM and tri-band HSPA. You can expect the normal variant in the fourth quarter; however the 24k gold-plated D&G edition will be shipped in a Sparkling Rose Color sometime later.
