I just successfully rooted my Droid X2 solely for the purpose of free wifi tethering. I have tried Barnacle, Adroid Wifi Tethering, Open Garden, etc; all of which successfully connect to my laptop. My Nook, however, will not recognize any tether app. It did recognize 1, but, when I went to connect on the Nook, Verizon popped up telling me I need to sign up for Mobile Hotspot. From what I understand, tethering apps use Ad Hoc, which the Nook doesn’t support. Is there any way I can bypass this and connect my Nook to my phone? Please help. Thanks.
