Sony to fix snag causing yellow color flash on Xperia S display

There is a slight snag in the latest smartphone from Sony, the Xperia S. When the phone gets too hot, a yellow tint flashes across the screen. The temperature has to shoot by greater than 40 degree Celsius for this to happen and not all phones are stricken with the crisis. In fact, according to a spokesperson from Sony, this happens only with a limited number of handsets. But, Sony promises to bail out all those who are suffering due to the holdup. Firstly, only a few phones have this issue. And even the ones bearing the hitch, will be replaced by Sony, that too free of charge. Sony has located the flaw causing this snag and it will correct the glitch in all future models also.

This not the first smartphone churned out with a defect. Similar cases have cropped up with Nokia and Samsung also. Nokia’s Lumia 600 smartphone has a really dull battery life and the manufacturer has rolled out upgrades like PR v1.2 to give a boost to its juice. Samsung’s much touted Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4 has the face unlock feature that went through a slight hitch – some people claimed that it can be unlocked with a photo! However, Samsung simply added a blinking feature to the face unlock and hiked the security of the device again. And there was news recently that passwords on Android devices and Apple’s iPhone’s can be cracked by the Micro Systemation’s XRY app.

In any case, the savvy Xperia S, will be launched in the Indian market soon. It has a Gingerbread OS and Android 2.3 slotted in. The phone runs on a dual core processor and boasts of 1 GB RAM. Moreover, you will enjoy the 4.3 inch display screen and its 12.1 MP camera. If you are looking forward to check it out then know that it falls in the same price range as HTC One X or the Samsung Galaxy S II.
