Sony Ericsson has been facing a lot of competition from various sources. However, the people at Sony Ericsson are rather confident that they would be able to meet the planned schedule for their first Windows Mobile cellphone and release it in the fourth quarterly of this year. Though many blogs have reported otherwise, Sony’s Merran Wrigley quashed the rumors saying Xperia 1 was going to be released on schedule. Now that Sony Ericsson is joining the bandwagon of cellphones running on Microsoft, only Nokia seems to be the major brand that has restrained itself from using Windows Mobile. However, Windows Mobile has remained unattractive to most cellphone users perhaps due to the better interface provided by other operating systems such as Symbian and the one that is provided on the iPhone. However, many companies such as HTC, Samsung and now Sony Ericsson have tried a lot to push the Windows Mobile phones and present the phones in a more attractive fashion.
