If, by chance, you toyed with the idea of pocketing either the Sony Ericsson P5 or the G702 sometime in the near future, here’s the sad truth for you. It has been confirmed that both the smartphones have been officially cancelled. Some of the P5 critics say that its specifications are not upto the mark and cannot survive competition. They simply labeled it outdated.
The reasons for disqualifying the G702 are not well known. Though it has some worthwhile features like touchscreen display, Wi-Fi and integrated GPS receiver, it seems its looks were pretty unimpressive. It looks as though these days its not only human beings but also inanimate objects that need to pep up their looks to make themselves saleable!
However, there is a talk that if not in the western market, these phones might be released in the Asian markets. Don’t you have any choice Asia, other than taking rejected stuff from the west?
