Sonly Ericsson W960 Walkman phone challenges Apple’s iPhone

w960 walkman phone 48Sony Ericsson is doing damn good with its walkman phones. The latest from their wardrobe is the brand new W960 Walkman phone that comes rocking an array of impressive features both for the music nerds and the business class. Based on Symbian OS v9.1 and UIQ 3.0 to five, the W960 packs a liberal 8GB of internal storage, 2-megapixel camera, 2.6-inch QVGA touchscreen, 3G, Wi-Fi, suppot for VoIP, and secure push email.

Oh My Gosh!
Did I miss something? I don’t think so. The inclusion of the 2.6-inch touchscreen and 8GB of memory surely demands comparison with the hotly awaited Apple iPhone. The W960 includes the Media Manager PC software that helps extraction of music tracks from CDs. Interestingly, 1GB of data can be transferred in about three minutes via high speed USB. It scores over the iPhone as it comes with 3G support and does MMS. Moreover, the A2DP Bluetooth stereo headset will certainly please all the music lovers.

Should we take the new W960 Walkman phone as an iPhone killer? Although, I won’t compare it directly to iPhone but such phones will definitely have an effect on the sales of iPhone.
