Following in the footsteps of other mobile phone makers, Samsung has also revealed its plans to join the Android bandwagon. By June of 2009, Samsung has plans to roll out new mobile phones based on Google’s open source operating system. Korea’s IT News site mentions that these phones will be available on Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile. We can expect the phones to be touchscreen, based on Samsung Instinct and Omnia phones. The report even says that around 80 developers have been working on the phone for nearly a year. While Sony Ericsson, HTC and Motorola have already announced their plans to make Android phones, it would be really interesting to see this war of Android devices next year.
