The new Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor will run at a clock speed of 1.5GHz inside the phone. The device will feature Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich as well. Though having a powerful processor and enhanced firmware, the Jasper will not have a hi-res display, sources indicate. The device will only come with an 800 x 480 resolution display with WVGA component.

It simply indicates that what Samsung is working with is a midrange smartphone with advanced features like a fast processor and the latest firmware. It might come as a budget Android handset and will aim at the customers, who wish to spend less, but look for modern features. According to PocketNow, there is chance that Samsung may launch lower end versions like i100 and i110 for the Jasper.

Samsung is largely expected to surface its third generation Galaxy S phone with some breathtaking features. They include a large and hi-res display, quad core processor, enhanced RAM, brilliant camera of 12-megapixel and a thin and lightweight body. The firm recently announced that it would surface a new Galaxy device on May 3 without specifying the exact product. Fans prefer to think that the new Galaxy device will be the much-awaited Galaxy S3.
