Samsung’s previous dual SIM phone D880 DuoS was a big hit with businessmen and well-to-do clients. Samsung hit the chord right when the introduced a cellphone that can handle two different connections at the same time. If not for the high price, it would have been one of the major breakthroughs. Price tag of $700 was a bit too high for youngsters who usually carry more than one connections to enjoy the benefits of inter-circle rebates.

Samsung has definitely realized this, and that’s why there is a new cheaper dual SIM P240 DuoS. It features Philips PNX5230+OM6357 chipset, Tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 connectivity, 2″ 176×220 px TFT LCD, 2 megapixel camera, FM tuner with RDS, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, Mpeg4 capable media player, 25MB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot and 1200 mAh battery. P240 DuoS measures 115.1×48.6×15.7 mm and is expected to be priced around 270 EUR.

Other news related to Samsung is that P520 DuoS touchscreen phone has been canceled as there were problems with switching SIMs using touchscreen, and that this year end will see dual SIM Windows Mobile based Smartphone.
