Rogers revises iPhone tariff plan

Just a few days ago, we shared the dismay of the Canadian iPhone users when the Canadian iPhone carrier Rogers announced tariff plans that lacked unlimited data access for iPhone 3G, even for the most expensive plan. Rogers has finally decided to become a little more iPhone consumer friendly by revising its tariff plan offering 6GB of data for $30 per month for iPhone 3G users on a 3-year contract. This unfortunately is a limited period offer expiring after August 31, 2008. Although 6GB means a huge volume of data usage for any user, (one can actually download 35,952 web pages or send and receive 157,286 emails every month) but if AT&T is not putting caps on the data usage in USA then what prevents Rogers to adapt it in Canada? As for the rumors on shortage of iPhone 3G supply in Canada, Rogers does not support the news.
