Conceptualizing is one thing and making it a reality is something completely different. It is easier to conceptualize and difficult to materialize and Nokia knows it no less when it faced its design contractor Provoke’s 2012 concepts. Express, Share and Touch are the three concepts of Provoke each with a personalized touch and function. The appearance of Express could be electronically changed to suit the user’s personal preference. The Touch handsets are meant for lovebirds and features touch simulation – this means to hold your cell phone could compensate the touch of someone special. Share handsets would allow communicating in coded languages with like-minded people – I thought we are always doing this.
The Express looked quite appealing with its pick glow. But if visual scenes from a video are to be believed then the Touch concept look a bit awry and the “deep communication” of Touch handset seems to make you feel touch anything other than your lover’s hand or at least after this experience you will be confused about the feeling.
