Sensing the mounting demand of mobile phone applications, POGO, a South African firm has launched the first free Internet-based file sharing software for mobile phones that will allow the users to share ringtones, music, games, videos and themes.
Till now, 1000 users have registered with this service. Other than the ringtones, music, games, videos and themes, the new service lets the users send messages at mere 1c per SMS as well as access classifieds.
The users just need to pay for the airtime while accessing the internet. The service is totally free and can be downloaded to any Java and WAP enabled GPRS and 3G cellular phones.
Currently, 5,000 mobile games, more than a million dissimilar MP3s and thousands of ring tones are already accessible through the free file sharing software application. Users can type in www.POGO.vg on their mobile browser to get the application and www.pogo.fm to download the free instant messenger for use in mobile chat rooms.
