The latest entrant to the ever growing family of iPhone/iPod Touch applications is the iRecorder, which is a virtual recorder. It’s not a program that lets you record audio, but is a playable recorder instrument. Maplewood Associates, the makers of the blowable instrument, says that this is the first 100% true-to-life virtual instrument for the iPhone. You need to blow into the handset to use the iRecorder. They claim it to be a learning device also. It looks like you will need to finger the notes with the iRecorder. While a real recorder comes dirt cheap, this app might not be widely accepted, but still, it’s not a bad idea to try this for free.
