The wait is finally over. The North Americans can now have their own version of the Nokia N95 8GB. Though the news is still to be confirmed officially by the the Nokia website, I don’t doubt a bit about its authenticity because of two reasons. Firstly, Nokia has this habit of generating a lot of hype before finally declaring the truth. Secondly, the news originated at Engadget Mobile, which is second to none when it comes to unearth cellphone news.
Coming back to the point, the North American (NAM) Nokia N95 8GB will work on non-standard 3G frequencies, viz HSDPA 850 / 1900 bands and that’s what really counts. The all-black Nokia N95 8GB comes with a larger 2.8″ display but other specifications remain unaltered. The handset is expected to carry a hefty price tag of $799.
