Nokia launches location based traffic service for smartphone users in Delhi and Mumbai

Nokia is about to add a new service for Nokia smartphone users. This location based service would give users real time traffic updates in two cities, Delhi and Mumbai. The service backed by NAVTEQ Traffic Pro would provide crucial information about the speed on primary-secondary roads and highways. This feature would help you save you vital time and fuel too. We all know how frustrating it is to get stuck in traffic jams for hours. This service comes as a solution to the traffic problems faced by people in cities like Delhi and Mumbai.

Nokia Maps

The service will be available on models like Nokia Lumia 800 and 710, Nokia E6, Nokia 701, Nokia 700 and Nokia N8. For the Symbian based Nokia smartphone, it will be available by the name Nokia Drive and in Windows by the name Nokia Maps.

The service is free but you will have to pay the normal data charges. Nokia will further try to improve other location based services. You can expect Nokia to provide more location based services in near future. The new services would also be made for developers, ISPs and advertisers.
