Nokia Asha 302 launched in India, shows ‘little’ hope

Just when style and feature seekers put their+ feet up after exploring an intriguingly dished out Asha 200 mobile device, Nokia got another reason to hog the limelight. The company has now launched its latest Nokia Asha 302 handset for the Indian market, sporting a simple QWERTY form factor.

Based on S40 operating system, the mobile phone targets the masses but does not really embed a slot for advanced functions. There’s a decent 2.4-inch display which allows you to flip through or watch your favorite content with ease (but kindly, don’t compare the screen resolution with those high end models out there). However, some of you may even be disappointed with ‘no touchscreen’ factor.

Integrated with an efficient 1GHz processor, the stylish-looking Asha 302 has got some strong connectivity options as well – including Bluetooth, 3G, Wi-Fi and others. For those of you who are interested in clicking pictures, Nokia has included a 3.2 megapixel camera sans flash support. Although the QWERTY device features a faster and better processor than Asha 200, the phone still does not manage to match other advanced options on the market.

The handset will feature a neat home screen and take care of your social connectivity functions through built-in Facebook and WhatsApp applications. Keeping the latest toddler in senses is a decent 1320 mAh battery, which offers up to 5.9 hours of talk-time and up to 830 hours of standby time.

The new Nokia Asha 302 has been priced at Rs. 6,300 (approx) but is yet to hit shelves officially. Nevertheless, you can get it from online retail stores, including LetsBuy and Flipkart. As far as its color options are concerned, users should be able to pick one from many attractive hues such as red, white and grey.
