We knew the iPhone had the potential of becoming one of the most innovative gizmos of the 21st century but even we weren’t quite ready for the kind of apps the Apple cellphone would be able to support. Rumor has it that SiiTE Interactive, a New York-based creative marketing agency, are looking for ways to tap into the phone’s graphics and motion detector technology to enable users to virtually mix yogurt smoothies and squeeze glasses full of virtual juice from their fav fruit! Sounds too freaky to be true? It isn’t.
The concept basically demands that the customers choose from a variety of ingredients on the touchscreen menu of their phone like yogurt, mangoes and strawberry syrup and once the ingredients are selected, they just have to give the phone a good shake to “mix” the blend. After that, all you have to do is to step into the next yogurt shop, have them scan your on-screen bar code and walk away with a your own personalized yogurt smoothie for a discounted price.
And that’s not all, SiiTE have also revealed plans to include an “Origami-gram,” an illuminator for rock concerts and a virtual juice squeezer as well as a virtual musical instrument app that will let you produce funky tunes of maracas, tambourines, jingle bells among other instruments with just a shake of the phone. I just hope they still allow the phone to make phone calls!
