Singapore-based Mobile and Wireless Group (MWg) have finally launched two of their most exclusive smartphone handsets in the UK. The firm, which was created last year by the former management of O2 Asia, has announced that their Windows Mobile based devices- the Atom V and the Zinc II, will be made available in the island nation by the end of this month. The handsets feature the best of MWg’s tech know-how with an inbuilt- SiRF Star-III GPS chipset, a 3.5 HSDPA capable of delivering net speeds of 7.2Mbps, an FM radio with RDS, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 2.0, along with a cool new stylus-free touch-driven interface called “Quick Menu” that allows users to tap the large graphic icons with their fingers to use them while dragging the finger across the screen lets users flip between different menus of the device.

The Zinc II offers a semi-automatic sliding QWERTY keypad making it perfect for messaging and surfing the net while the Atom V is a compact keypad-less Windows Mobile (WM) device perfect for touch-screen fanatics. With a petite 14.95mm frame and a 2.8” LCD display, the Atom V really does justify its £399.95 price tag while the QWERTY-licious Zinc II retails for £449.95.
