No need to get disheartened people for this doesn’t hint at any major split in the company but a mere decision two create two separate public traded entities. In simpler words lets just say that the company is dividing its activities under two different heads by the beginning of next year. In between this time period nothing in terms of the services they offer to their consumers would change. The split would involve two companies, one taking care off the Mobile Devices whilst the other would cater to Broadband & Mobility Solutions. All this is being done to ensure enhanced flexibility and a more specific focus on the management, alongwith better understanding of capital division thus making it more targeted.
