With cellphone wars set to get only fiercer this summer, Mobiado are really bringing their A game to the plate and their new Professional 105 EM range is a fine start. Part of the hardwood Executive Model series, the phones are compatible with quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band WCDMA networks and sport a 2mp camera, 1GB internal memory, a 2-inch 16 million color display, microUSB and Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in music player. The real highlight of the phones, though, has to be the finely-finished frames they sport. Made from a choice of Cocobolo and Ebony hardwoods, the unique phones feature black-painted sapphire crystal buttons with anodized aluminum casing adding dollops of class. The gold-kissed version of the phone features a frame covered in 24-karat gold plating that is 5 microns thick, and the luxury handset even has its brass screws finished in gold. Continuing on the gold theme, the phone’s keypad too features hand painted 24-karat buttons that add to the phone’s charisma and sophistication. No word on pricing yet, but we expect it to be on the higher side of the scale.
