The Limited Edition Sidekick LX (in black) is available in two auctions on ebay. This phone has GSM technology and uses T-Mobile as its carrier. The most sophisticated of all sidekicks released till date (at least according to its appearance), this device is provided with a 1-2 megapixel camera too. Among other technologies this phone uses, the most significant are Internet browser, MP3 Player, Bluetooth, SMS-Text messaging, loudspeaker, video, calendar and email.
This all-black and extremely sleek ( as claimed by the seller) Sidekick LX will be available from the 30th of January 2008 (in limited supply). The current bid for this phone is at $405 at the ebay auction. However, further informations about this product have not yet been made available. We have only the seller’s word that he already has 5 pre-ordered units, with 4 of them of ‘Buy-it-Now’ style and the other up for auction.
This, itself leaves room for some doubt, since its unlikely that the seller should dispose most of his products in a ‘Buy-it-Now’ style, when an auction is almost guaranteed to fetch him greater profits. Even the photo of the all-black sidekick LX (shown above) is of a poor quality, and the source of the picture is also questionable, since the seller has his devices pre-ordered. The picture is certainly not a press release from T-Mobile either.
However, on the brighter side, the seller claims that he has 100% feedback on this Sidekick LX. If the buyers have enough money in their pockets and are willing to experiment, they can go for the supposedly sleek all-black Sidekick LX.
