KDDI creates 3D capable mobile phone display

Cell phone makers have been trying for sometime to develop displays that produce 3D images. KDDI has finally arrived with an LCD display, the first of its kind that is capable of exhibiting 3D images on the mobile phone screen. Two LCD displays of 480 x 800-pixel resolution, produce separate 2D images, one for the left eye and another for the right eye, which overlap, creating optical illusion of 3D imagery. It will be a matter of time until we see the 3D-capable display ready for commercial production.

What others are saying?
