A little known face behind Nokia’s considerable success is the Finnish design firm called Provoke. Provoke does majority of Nokia’s designing work and now is all set to exhibit a bunch of mobile phone design concepts at this year’s New York Design Show. This firm has lined up three concepts that it proposes to commercialize by 2012. Though that’s still sometime away, let’s take a sneak peek at what these designs offer. First up is the Express range in which the mobile phones will be able to change colours depending on your mood. All this will be done electronically at the touch of a button. If you’re thinking thats very cool, wait till you hear about this one.
The Feel series actually will allow you to feel your loved ones through the cutting edge Haptic technology that simulates your loved ones’ feel. Very impressive. Last up we have the Share concept which will let users create their very own range of personal communication codes for a few mobile phones. Though that sounds a little spooky, we needn’t worry for the time being as these concepts are slated to hit the market only in 2012. That leaves me wondering what Nokia will have to say about all these design concepts, that could very well be the ones commissioned by it.
