iPhoneDevTeam releases browser-based jailbreak for Apple devices

It’s just been a week since the US government’s explicit blessing established the “jailbreaking” of Apple iPhones as “fair use”, the much awaited tool has emerged on the internet that can unlock the restrictions imposed by the manufacturer on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad when accessed from the device. Created by the iPhone Dev Team, the software application dubbed JailbreakMe 2.0 is the browser-based software that works on all iOS devices, including iPhones, iPads, and iPods running iOS 4 and iOS 4.01. Known for bringing the “ultrasn0w” tool for previous iPhone models, the iPhoneDevTeam has previously unlocked iPhone 4.
