Here the iPhone has gone soft indeed, ‘extremely soft’, to the extent that it renders enhanced user interaction and tactile feedback using flexible electronics all delivered through its soft surface. Here is what the phone has on the inside-accelerometers (which are indispensable), gesture control, control via movements in front of the camera, multi-touch interaction, voice command and control through the flexible parts of the handsets. As users of haptic technology and gesture control we have had elated experiences but such technology is yet to conquer the cellphones and with this concept, we are hopeful that such a time is not too far.
