iPhone Gamers finally get some Java Support

It won’t be Java at full swing for the iPhone gamers but they can still afford a little smile as the iPhone gamers could have access to Java supported games through the New Zealand-based Innaworks developed beta-stage alcheMo application. This application would convert the standard Java ME game source code into iPhone game code, ultimately allowing the gamers to play those games on the iPhone.

Stephen Cheng, the CEO of Innaworks saw great future for games on the iPhone as he quipped:

With the expected introduction of iPhone’s AppStore in June, iPhone is emerging as a serious gaming platform. We are amazed by the effectiveness of the touch screen and accelerometer on enhancing gaming experience. We expect the early backers among game publishers to significantly benefit from their first mover advantage. alcheMo for iPhone will help mobile game publishers to reach the eagerly awaiting gamers with quality games on iPhone and iPod touch.

This isn’t the best thing to happen for the iPhone gamers but they would still buy it considering the Java ME games getting converted for compatibility, the best though would surely be getting total support for Java on the iPhone but for that the great deadlock has to break.
