Apple’s iPhone is gearing up to become your road guide, as there are clear indications that the upcoming model will have an in-built Global Positioning System (GPS). Boradcom, a relatively new entrant in the GPS market will be Apple’s supplier of the GPS chip. Apple’s iPhone already has compelling navigational features with Google Maps interface along with its 3.5-inch touchscreen interface and external speakers and the incorporation of GPS will make it even more popular.

Besides GPS, iPhone 2.0 is strongly believed to incorporate 3G connectivity that would be faster than the current EDGE network connectivity. We don’t have to wait long for the new updated version of the iPhone for on 9 June the GPS enabled iPhone 2.0 will be launched.
