The latest word has been let out, the all new HTC Ville, that is supposed to be launched in February next year, is to be blessed with the most advanced and the fastest HTC Sense till date. The phone would be manufactured with the most advanced dual core processors and a powerful 8MP camera. The body of the phone is expected to be entirely made out of metal and thus be very durable.

HTC Ville

The phone, by means of its excellent and powerful hardware would not only perfectly compliment the super advanced Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but also add an entire new dimension to the manner in which Ville would be used by you, making full use of the fast dual core processor of the Ville and blending the unique styling of the HTC Sense 4.0 and Android Ice Cream Sandwich to give you an experience that you would not soon forget.

Pricing and availability

The HTC Ville is expected to be first launched in the month of February, 2012 and would perhaps hit the global markets by April-May the same year. The exact price of the device has not yet been declared but it is estimated that purchasing it would leave you poorer by $500.

What’s great

The specifications of the Ville, that have been released, are very impressive indeed. It would run on a dual core1.5GHz S4 (Snapdragon) processor, and sport a large 4.3”qHD super AMOLED display capacitive touchscreen along with a powerful 8MP camera that is also capable of full HD video capturing with the help of a unique backside illuminated sensor. This phone would sport a full metal body casing and would be less than 8mm thick. The Ville would be the first phone to have the HTC Sense 4.0 (specific details of the user UI have been so far kept under wraps and it is not known as to what all this 4.0 version would incorporate). The battery has been claimed to be a decent 1650mAh that would be enough to last you a full day on full usage of the Ville. The other features rumored to be incorporated in the HTC Ville are Beats Audio support, for the best sound experience for the music lovers and no NFC support due to its full metal body.

What’s not so great

The so very frequent market releases of HTC phones generally replace the few month old models as the most sophisticated and advanced phones in the market. There is a general complaint of the HTC owners that no sooner do they purchase a new HTC smartphone, than a better version is announced. Also there is a problem with some users that are not very happy about the HTC Sense 4.0 dominating the Ice Cream Sandwich. The opinion among the HTC users, regarding the HTC Sense, is rather divided, while some love them while other hate the interference that they create with the OS. These third party skins are often not very much appreciated by the Android owners but this does not stop the HTC from creating them. The Ice Cream Sandwich has been declared as the best Android created so far and it comes in as a virtual surprise that it needs a skin at all let aside the all interfering HTC Sense 4.0. With such great hardware specifications, the Ville should have kept the interference minimum with the operating OS of the phone to get the best performance out of the phone.

Things to watch out for

The HTC Sense 4.0 is rumored to be an all encompassing skin that would overshadow the Ice Cream Sandwich. While the phone has a very powerful processor still the simultaneous running of both these platforms on the phone may create certain inevitable glitches in its functioning and may even cause certain time lags between runnings of apps. The full metal body of the phone not just imparts it a sleek stylish look but also allows it to be more robust and durable.

The verdict

The HTC Ville, once it hits the markets, would indeed be the smartest smartphone that has been produced by HTC. It is expected to be both robust and powerful in its appearance and working and its features are rivaled by few. The phone is expected to provide you with the utmost smartphone experience but for those of you who do not like the interference of the HTC Sense with the Android 4.0 OS, you can disable it if you so desire. Overall a great phone to have, the HTC Ville is a must have for all tech geeks.
