How about having the quality of picture taken with your cameraphone equivalent to that of one taken by a still digital camera? Well, the contract manufacturer Flextronics has licensed digital-imaging technology from Hewlett-Packard and will integrate the same into the cellphones that will hit the stores next year.
Mind that this digital-imaging technology is already in use in the HP’s digital cameras. That means that a shot taken with a tiny 3-megapixel cellphone camera will match the quality of the photo taken with a still digital camera. Flextronics manufactures cellular phones for Motorola, Kyocera and Sony Ericsson
You can easily differentiate the quality results as the picture on the left was taken without the HP’s digital-imaging technology while the picture pasted right was shot with a camera integrating the technology.
