According to Google Plus page for Android, Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S are going to get air updates for Android v4.0.4. The new version provides some major improvements over the last version. It would now give you a smoother screen rotation and better performance with camera. This new version also solves various stability issues related with the earlier version.
Android reveals that soon they are going to update various other models. People who are already using Ice Cream Sandwich would get the v4.0.4 while other would get Ice Cream sandwich 4.0. This new version will also provide a better phone number recognition. So Nexus users are going to enjoy these updates, a lot of smartphone users are yet to receive ICS treatment.
Android 4.0 has already been very successful in smartphones and with these improvements it would get even better. The new OS would definitely be more smooth, fast and stable. The customizations that mobile manufacturer put in device ROMs pretty much ruins the original flavor of Android, while Nexus devices have an edge over. Many manufacturers have not even issued ICS to their high end phones, which is a serious downer. But anyways, the new Android will make things easier, faster and smoother than ever.
