Galaxy S III to come with 1.4 GHz Exynos chipset

Samsung is yet to announce their new device Samsung Galaxy S III, in London, next week. However, to keep its prospective buyers interested, the manufacturer has offered a glance into the phone’s processor. Samsung revealed that their new phone would be powered by a 1.4 GHz Exynos 4 Quad chipset, and it would be the key feature of the new Samsung Galaxy S III.

This new 32mm processor is supposed to deliver superb performance. Samsung claims that this processor would be twice faster and more efficient than all other processors in the market. This processor would have a 20 percent less power consumption too.

These are just claims for now, and we will soon see if these numbers are real or not. The real performance of this could be analyzed only when we have the phone in our hands because numbers and benchmarks don’t always tell the real story.

This quad core processor is designed on the same layout as Samsung’s dual core processors. Hence, it would be very easy for others to integrate the chipset in their devices. Currently, Meizu, a Chinese manufacturer, is using Exynos 4 Quad chipset. This is the same chipset which was released in a Vietnamese leak, last week.

We are still one week behind the actual release of the device, and everyone is anxiously waiting to know all the details about the phone. Samsung has created enough curiosity in the market for this new device. But still, we assume this thing is going to be big.
