I know you can get an app on the iPhone that allows you to have an alternate number used for texting and it’s free. Unfortunately I don’t have an iPhone I have a Droid X. Are there any apps for Android which allows me to have an alternate number for free texting? Or is there an app I can use directly from my Mac? Basically I want to text for free with a different number than my cell phone. I would really appreciate if someone can help. Thanks.
